Project Description:

The beachfront location of this exceptional residence is something that you would expect from a 5 star luxury resort, which is the feeling that you get after spending only a short time relaxing on the timber deck, soaking up the expansive uninterrupted views over the pacific.

The Architecture of this home is based on a natural uncluttered theme, lending itself to the use of natural materials, including copper external lighting, New Guinea rosewood timber doors & windows, Australian hardwood flooring, decks & pavers, rough sawn western red cedar front door, gates, cladding & screens which have been stained & finished to give the presence of aged timber.

This renovated beach house was completely remodeled internally to make the most of the views on offer. The master bedroom & ensuite, kitchen & living have been strategically designed to capture this aspect as these were to be the most frequently used rooms by the occupants.

The external areas also underwent remodeling with the entry courtyard & existing pool being revamped to suit the modern new entry & facade, while a coastal low maintenance theme was incorporated for the landscaping & gardens.

The entire eastern wall of the main living area is made up of four large timber & glass sliding doors that open up to allow the burnished concrete floor inside to flow seamlessly onto the Hardwood decking without any framing components to hinder the view.

The entry boasts extensive use of cedar cladding and screening elements with the front door replicating more of a sliding wall than a door. The home has been fitted out with quality fixtures & fittings throughout. In order to create clean lines and a flush finish to the internal areas, blinds to doors & windows have been recessed, skirting has been flush set, no architraves have been used & all plasterboard has been square set. The 2 pack kitchen with integrated appliances & corian benches is also a seamless finish.

This home is an excellent example of what can be achieved through good communication between owner, architect & builder.
